We are seeking a driven and safety‑focused Materials Coordinator / Driver who takes pride in keeping operations moving and projects on track. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and energized by being at the center of project success while working in dynamic field conditions.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, the Materials Coordinator / Driver supports construction operations by ensuring the timely delivery of materials, effective inventory management, and seamless coordination between suppliers and project teams. This role is critical to maintaining productivity across ROHL job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving & Delivery (Approx. 50%)
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from project sites
  • Load, unload, and secure materials in accordance with safe handling and transportation requirements
  • Complete daily logs, inspections, and maintenance records in compliance with company policies and applicable Federal and Provincial regulations
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Monitor inventory levels to support ongoing and upcoming construction projects
  • Coordinate with the Construction Superintendent and site supervisors to forecast material requirements
  • Order materials and track deliveries to ensure timely availability and minimize project delays
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchase orders, and receipts
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 75+ lbs
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection in high‑noise environments
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat and cold
  • Exposure to construction environments, including noise, vibration, and site‑related hazards
What You Bring

The following are required for this role:

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driving abstract
  • Reliable transportation to access reporting location (not transit accessible)
  • Previous truck driving experience, preferably in construction or a similar field environment
  • Experience with materials coordination, inventory management, or procurement considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required
  • Physically capable of loading, unloading, and handling construction materials
  • Comfortable using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and load securement standards
  • Basic understanding of construction materials and site operations
  • Experience using inventory or material tracking systems
