Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Materials Coordinator in London, Ontario onsite to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials between production areas and ensure inventory supports production schedules.

You will manage transfers, FIFO, reconcile counts, and work with 3PL partners and plant teams to maintain accurate ERP materials data. The role requires post-secondary education and 1–3 years in warehousing, with strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage material pallet positioning in all warehouse areas (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Conduct daily counts of materials required 4 days out.
• Assist Inventory Control with daily material reconciliation.
• Manage and direct flow of materials into the plant and divert excess to offsite storage.
• Post all transfer order POs off site to keep total inventory correct.
• Determine volume to transfer and execute transfer orders from offsite storage to the plant (FIFO).
• Direct the thaw/temper process for materials offsite and instruct 3PL operators.
• Maintain accurate ERP inventory for co-pack locations and coordinate transfers of WIP and CHEP pallets to copacker.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with all departments and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment
• Practical knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management
• Demonstrated ability to use technology and/or computer systems for problem solving
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to deal with complex problems and multiple levels of communication within the organization
• Able to work various shifts and extend working hours when required
• Excellent communication skills in a team environment both written and verbal
