Job summary

Woodbridge is seeking a highly organized Materials Coordinator to support our Materials and Supply Chain team. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, material availability for production, and shipping/receiving administration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will manage returnable packaging, process customer orders, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues. A post-secondary background in Supply Chain or Logistics and experience with ERP/MRP systems are

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, materials coordination, logistics, shipping and receiving, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts of components and customer inventory; reconcile with system records.
  • Receive raw materials and inventory into the system; support physical counts.
  • Prepare for and participate in physical inventory activities and annual counts.
  • Track and report scrap information; manage returnable packaging.
  • Maintain shipping/receiving documentation and weekly shipping schedules.
  • Process manual customer orders accurately and on time; support reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inventory, shipping, and customer service issues.

Position Summary

Woodbridge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support our Materials and Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, production material availability, shipping and receiving administration, returnable packaging management, and customer order support. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining operational excellence while supporting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Perform daily cycle counts of components, Toyota Kanban inventory, and key customer finished goods inventory.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Receive raw materials and component inventory into the system.
  • Prepare for and participate in physical inventory activities and annual counts.
  • Collect, process, and report scrap information.
  • Deactivate labels received from production as required.
  • Ensure components are available to support production schedules and are stored in established locations.
  • Create sample orders and monitor Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and program changes.
  • Support uninterrupted material flow to production and customer requirements.
  • Provide backup support to the Materials Analyst as needed.
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
  • Scan, file, and maintain daily shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Prepare weekly shipping schedules for customers and Value Added Services (VAS).
  • Manage VAS transactions to prevent customer shortages and operational disruptions.
  • Track inbound and outbound returnable containers.
  • Coordinate and order packaging materials, including cardboard, skids, and other shipping supplies.
Customer Service & Administration
  • Process and enter manual customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inventory, shipping, and customer service issues.
