Job summary

A growing robotics company in Hamilton is seeking a full-time Materials Coordinator to oversee warehouse operations and material availability for production. You will manage inventory using Odoo, execute purchase orders, and ensure accurate stock levels. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Experience in materials coordination and proficiency with ERP systems are essential. This role requires on-site presence at the company's HQ and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse receiving and organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in Odoo.
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Create reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain and improve stock strategies: update lead times, MOQs, reorder points/safety stock, and usage trends based on real data.
  • Execute purchase orders and track supplier acknowledgements, delivery dates, and constraints.
  • Own supplier communications for part/version control, substitutions, and documentation alignment.
  • Manage supplier returns and quality workflows: RMA, RTV, QI holds, and discrepancy resolution; ensure traceable records.
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound/outbound shipments and maintain records for supplier invoices and payment readiness.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time on-site Materials Coordinator role located at our HQ in Hamilton. At Skygauge, you will own warehouse operations and material availability for production builds and repairs. You will manage stock levels in Odoo using demand projections and historical trends, execute purchase orders, maintain accurate inventory records, and coordinate supplier communications including version control, lead times, quality issues, and returns (RMA/RTV).

Required Skills:
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials coordination, inventory control, or purchasing.
  • Experience managing stock levels using projections, lead times, and historical usage trends.
  • Experience with cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and inventory accuracy programs.
  • Experience issuing and tracking purchase orders and shipment status.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo experience preferred) and spreadsheets.
  • Strong safety mindset and process-orientation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Electromechanical, aerospace, robotics, or other hardware manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with kitting, staging, and supporting production schedules.
  • Experience with supplier quality workflows (QI holds, NCRs, corrective actions).
  • Experience with shipping/receiving and international logistics documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage warehouse receiving, labeling, put-away, and organization (5S).
  • Maintain accurate inventory in Odoo; Analyze discrepancies, and develop systems for improvement.
  • Prepare kits and stage materials for production builds and repairs.
  • Prevent shortages through proactive stock planning.
  • Maintain and improve stock strategies: update lead times, MOQs, reorder points/safety stock, and usage trends based on real data.
  • Execute purchase orders and track supplier acknowledgements, delivery dates, and constraints.
  • Own supplier communications for part/version control, substitutions, and documentation alignment.
