Primoris Canada seeks a Materials Coordinator to manage site materials, shipments, and related inquiries. You will be the main contact for freight information, tracking, inventory, and requisitions, ensuring proper handling and QA compliance on active projects.
The role involves coordinating receiving, storage, documentation, and preparation of materials for shipment, with focus on accuracy, timeliness, and safety procedures at site facilities.
Primoris Canada is a infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of site materials and incoming/outgoing shipments and will be the main contact for any Materials related questions (freight information, tracking shipments, incoming inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, shipping coordination, etc.).

Perform budget development, progress measurement, cost forecasting and preparing monthly internal and client benchmark/milestone reports for mid to large scale projects.
Supervise the offloading of materials from carrier
Inspect materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specification
Document and report the receiving inspection in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE Program
Identify and tag non-conforming material and quarantine as necessary
Organize, verify, and file all receiving and vendor documentation
Ensure materials are stored and maintained in a suitable manner and environment
Document the withdrawal of materials for use on-site
Prepare and load finished goods/materials for shipment
Complete appropriate documentation and update materials database prior to shipment of goods/materials
Perform periodic materials inspection to verify material counts, conditions, location, and status
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving/stores capacity
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or the Petro-chemical industry
Superior knowledge of pipe, fittings and valves
Familiar with "Bagging & Tagging" or "Kitting" process
Knowledgeable and experienced with a formal QA program
Computer skills
Familiar with HSE regulations pertaining to the care, custody, storage, and handling of goods, materials, and consumables
