Job summary

WorleyCord in Edmonton seeks an entry-level Material Controller I to support materials management from the home office. You will process receipts, maintain records, and work with multiple project systems to ensure data accuracy.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong Excel skills, and comfort with ERP systems. This is a full-time, in-office position Monday to Friday in Edmonton, with emphasis on accuracy and administrative support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary in business administration, supply chain, or logistics is an asset.
  • Previous administrative, data-entry, warehouse, procurement, or materials experience is an asset, but is not required.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with materials management, procurement, inventory, or ERP systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including organizing, filtering, reviewing, and reconciling data; formulas, lookups, or pivot tables are assets.
  • Strong digital aptitude and confidence learning across multiple systems and data sources.
  • Good organization, follow-up, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple routine priorities and work effectively with project and functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Process material receipts and related transactions in the applicable materials management system.
  • Use digital platforms, including ERM, SiteSense, ImageConnect, SharePoint, and other project systems, to enter, retrieve, verify, and maintain materials information and supporting records.
  • Collect, review, and follow up on packing slips, receiving documents, and other required records.
  • Confirm that receiving information is complete and work with project teams, buyers, suppliers, or site materials personnel to resolve missing or unclear information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic material records and attach supporting documents, including packing slips, material test reports, heat numbers, serial numbers, and other required documentation.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of preliminary and final material receiving reports.
  • Assist with the investigation and documentation of receiving discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged material.
  • Prepare or update routine materials documentation, including load lists, shipping records, issue records, trackers, and reports.
  • Support invoice verification by locating and confirming receiving documentation when required.
  • Perform other administrative and data-management tasks in support of Materials Management.
