Job summary

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years in manufacturing or shipbuilding, proficiency with MS Office and planning tools, and eligibility for Canadian security clearances.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or shipbuilding.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized project control software.
• Experience with Project Estimating and Planning Systems.
• Experience in a project/material management environment.
• Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, vet, and interrogate the Work Specification to understand customer requirements.
• Provide technical support for contract bid preparation during the planning phase.
• Identify required surveys and assess if costed options cover them.
• Create and manage tasks through project software (PEPS).
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and their agents.
• Comply with safety, quality, and working practices.
• deputize for the Planning Supervisor when needed and guide department direction.
• Coordinate production activity material reviews.
• Review Engineering Changes for material requirements prior to implementation.
• Act as point of contact for all material queries within the planning team.
• Collect and apply lessons learned to future projects.
• Raise Change Requirements and Enquiries for material issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
