Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. is hiring a Labourer 1 at our Bradley Steel Processors facility in Winnipeg, MB. This role focuses on material handling, packaging, and routine manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Shifts vary: 8-, 10-, and 12-hour options with starting pay of 21.52 per hour, plus required PPE and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of shop tools and techniques.
• WHMIS knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload materials and products manually up to 40-50 lbs.
• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
• Assist machine operators and departments as needed.
• Operate production machinery like Dip Tank and Cutters as required.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment; follow safety policies.
