Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a Material Handler to support plant operations, work with finished goods, and gain exposure to customers and end products. The role offers potential for unlimited growth opportunities and hands-on experience with material movement and safety practices.

• Maintain safe arrangement and organization of the storage area, including cleaning and housekeeping.
• Train new employees as needed.

As a Material Handler at Steel Technologies, your main responsibility is to support our overall plant operations. In this role, you will have exposure to our finished goods and learn more about our customers and end product. This position will have potential for unlimited growth opportunities.

How you’ll contribute to our company:

• Inspect material for transit damage and defects
• Compare shipping documents to ensure complete information with receiving material and identification to ensure accuracy
• Follow work instruction to prepare material according to customer spec
• Organize orderly movement of incoming shipments into appropriate areaPerform daily crane and/or forklift inspection and documentation where applicable
• Ensure proper handling procedures to prevent material damage
• Maintain safe arrangement and organization of storage area including cleaning and housekeeping of the material storage area
• Train new employees as needed

• Starting Wage $21.00 per hour plus Shift premium
• Must be able to work 2-weeks rotational shift, Days and Afternoons
