Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Material Handler II to accurately transfer product, load/unload trailers, and move items using powered equipment while performing inventory checks. This role requires reading and following WMS instructions and maintaining accountability.

The position offers an 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM shift, competitive hourly wages, and an opportunity to contribute to a safe and efficient warehousing operation within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• 1 year or more powered industrial lift experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Read, interpret and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures.
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment.
