Job summary

ATCO Structures, located at the Rockyview Manufacturing facility in Alberta, seeks a Forklift Operator (Material Handler) to support material handling in a full-time, union environment. Responsibilities include forklift operation, unloading shipments, processing receiving paperwork, and delivering materials to workstations.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and collaboration with Production, with regular day shifts and opportunities to contribute to exciting modular-building projects.

Qualifications

• Certified forklift operator with 5+ years of forklift and material handling experience.
• Preference for supervisory experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills with a safety-first mindset.
• Knowledge of material receiving processes and cycle counts.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Organize assigned areas and materials.
• Operate forklift and unload shipments from trailers.
• Process receiving paperwork such as packing slips and bills of lading.
• Deliver materials to workstations and storage locations.
• Complete inventory consumption on all transactions and relocations.
• Assist with garbage and recycling removal.
• Support Production with line moves as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Looking for new challenges and career advancement? We have an exciting role to fill in our Rockyview Manufacturing facility.

As a Forklift Operator (Material Handler), you will be responsible for assisting with Material Handling activities within our Rockyview Manufacturing facility, where we design and build modular buildings. This is a full time, permanent, union role.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for the organization of assigned areas and materials.
• Operate Forklift and to unload incoming shipments from transport trailers.
• Process receiving paperwork such as packing slips and bill of lading.
• Deliver materials to workstations and storage locations.
• Complete inventory consumption on all inventory transactions relocations.
• Assist with garbage and recycling removal process.
• Support the Production team with line moves as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Certified Forklift Operator with at least 5+ years of experience in operating a forklift and material handling experience.
• Ability to work scheduled shift from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm MST (Monday to Friday), but flexibility may be required at times to work 8:00 to 4:30 pm MST.
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills preferred.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety, it is your top priority.
• Knowledge and experience with material receiving processes and cycle counts.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment and deliver results on time and in a safe manner.
• Comfortable using ERP and any other relevant software
