Job summary

Larsen & Shaw in Walkerton, Ontario is hiring a Material Handler/Shipper to ensure efficient material flow and on-time shipping. This role supports production with raw materials and requires accuracy in packing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (asset).
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Safety, quality, and teamwork commitment.
• Forklift license is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, and organize raw materials in the warehouse with proper stock rotation.
• Deliver and remove raw materials to/from primary press lines and production areas.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Pack, prepare, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
• Verify product quantities, weights, and shipping requirements.
• Process shipping documentation, billing data entry, and company systems entries.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure efficient shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.
