Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team as a Material Analyst/Buyer. Reporting to the Supervisor, Supply Chain, this role involves managing materials inventory and procurement functions to support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchase a variety of commodities, equipment, and services of a commercial and technical nature.
2. Negotiate contract terms and conditions prior to Purchase Order award.
3. Establish and maintain commodity contracts and effective relationships with requisitioners and vendors locally, nationally, and internationally.
4. Process and administer contract conditions, evaluations, claims, and adjustments.
5. Maintain materials inventories and ensure availability using computerized systems.
6. Conduct pre-screening activities for purchasing a variety of commodities.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma plus three years of concentrated study in supply chain management.
2. At least 3 years of related work experience.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
