Job Description

We have an opportunity in our Manufacturing & Operations team as a Master Scheduler in Ottawa. This role involves acting as the main liaison between Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, and Manufacturing. You will produce and maintain the Master Production Schedule, develop forecasts, and monitor manufacturing resources and capacity.

In this role, you will:

  1. Assist with Quotation Requests by preparing Company Program Plans and analyzing scenarios to ensure delivery feasibility.
  2. Coordinate manufacturing delivery commitments with Program Management and Contracts.
  3. Analyze customer demand, ensure accuracy of deliverables, and input orders into the system.
  4. Monitor and control order and lead time policies.
  5. Develop and adhere to master scheduling policies and procedures.
  6. Alert management of potential delays and apply capacity planning to address resource issues.
  7. Participate in Configuration Control Boards and analyze the impact of ECOs on schedules.
  8. Coordinate project start-up schedules and monitor progress.
  9. Identify potential schedule slippages and recommend corrective actions.
  10. Maintain documentation, prepare project status reports, and participate in reviews.
  11. Work with shipping to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  12. Present performance metrics and act as backup for other schedulers.
Qualifications
Education
  • Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CPIM, CIRM, or related courses are assets.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
  • Experience with manufacturing, production scheduling, BOM, and component management.
  • Understanding of production and material processes, lead times, and policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and ERP systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on practical solutions.
Security
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada as a Citizen or Permanent Resident.
