Qualifications

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Videographer to join our Calgary Campus media team, responsible for shooting and editing footage under the direction of the Multimedia Supervisor to execute concepts through to completion of each project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Video and photo coverage of various on and off campus events
  • Social media coverage of college events
  • Generating bi-weekly video content of campus updates for students
  • Assist in managing content for on campus digital signage
  • Setting up all audio, video, and lighting elements for video and photo shoots
  • Operating cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording during shoots
  • Helping direct on-camera talent and conducting student/client interviews
  • Assist in managing technical equipment, including cleaning, maintenance and file management
  • Responsible for post-production process (ingesting, cutting, sound mixing, colour grading, and incorporating still and motion graphics when needed)
  • Incorporating feedback from key stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Publishing videos to appropriate hosting platforms and managing Vimeo database

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Two-year certificate or diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong editing abilities in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience operating a variety of professional grade cameras
  • Valid Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Still photography, graphic design and social media experience an asset
  • Experience with Adobe CC, including Photoshop, Audition, and After Effects an asset

  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstration of above average interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Some evening and weekend availability as needed
