Job description

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s largest and most successful law firms, is currently looking for a Marketing Technology Administrator to join the Marketing Technology & Operations team in the Client Relations & Marketing department in the Toronto office. This position is a 12-month contract.

The Marketing Technology Administrator is responsible for the wide-scale cleansing of the Firm’s CRM system and will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of this data. The Marketing Technology & Operations team is responsible for advancing the Firm’s marketing technology stack, overseeing data and reporting capabilities, and driving the continuous improvement of marketing operations.

Primary responsibilities include :

CRM Database (80%)

Conducting regular data management activities, including deduplication, standardization and cleansing
Ensuring consistent formatting and data integrity across all systems
Enriching company and contact records by conducting external research, monitoring company alerts and validating incoming data
Associating contacts with companies and mapping them to the Firm’s financial system
Managing undeliverable emails, bounce-backs and new subscribers
Supporting the Business Development and Communications teams by creating and maintaining marketing distribution lists, coordinating additional sends and recording seminar/event attendee activity
Ensuring compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR)
Monitoring the shared inbox and responding to requests and questions from internal stakeholders
Contributing to the documentation of processes and checklists


Email Marketing Campaigns (Vuture) (10%)

Assisting in the deployment of email marketing campaigns using Vuture, including, but not limited to, seminar and event invitations, bulletins and thought leadership
Collaborating with the Business Development and Communications teams to test and deploy campaigns by set deadlines while following best practices and established processes
Creating campaigns that adhere to standard templates and align with the Firm’s brand guidelines
Applying best practices and taxonomy to perform data cleansing across systems
Using workflow and collaboration tools to schedule campaign deployment


Reporting (10%)

Generating reports for internal stakeholders in PDF and Excel formats
Identifying, extracting, merging and filtering data using creative, solution-oriented approaches
Using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI to create reports and charts by manipulating data, building pivot tables and applying formulas


Technology Evaluation

Participating in the evaluation of new marketing technology tools

Qualifications

Education/Experience :

Post-secondary school diploma and/or degree, preferably in business or marketing
Experience with CRM/marketing technology systems is an asset
Familiarity with CASL/GDPR is an asset


Skills/Abilities :

Intermediate skills in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, charts, etc.)
Experience working in a hybrid environment using Microsoft Teams
Client-service oriented, with a proactive and professional approach
Excellent verbal, written and business communication skills
Strong business acumen
Meticulous attention to detail, essential to delivering high-quality work
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Adaptable and responsible to shifting priorities and project directions
Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as required (with paid overtime)
Highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Applies creative thinking and technology-driven solutions to solve problems efficiently
Experience in using workflow collaboration or project management tools (such as Wrike) is an asset
