Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing, Content and Social Media Department.

Reporting to the Manager, Content & Social Media this role will contribute to the success of generating demand for industry solutions that help customers create smarter communities, understand market trends, analyze business performance, and safeguard people and property. This national, intermediate role requires an inquisitive and analytical mind to understand customers’ critical business needs, and expertise in communication to connect those needs with Esri’s GIS technology solutions.

This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of a Marketing Specialist, Communications at Esri Canada:

  • Report to the Manager, Content & Social Media on an ongoing basis and remain aligned on goals, outcomes and marketing activities
  • Plan and coordinate integrated marketing activities that build brand awareness within specific industries to create demand and generate marketing qualified leads
  • Write and develop materials such as emails, landing pages, blog posts, case studies, articles, brochures, videos, social media content and others, to use in nurture campaigns and encourage engagement
  • Manage virtual events (e.g. webinars and online seminars) from developing prospect lists to writing the email invitations and assisting with the presentation materials, to creating drip campaigns
  • Integrate and ensure consistency in brand and campaign messaging at tradeshows, workshops, and other events
  • Seek and develop partner channels such as industry associations to engage with new prospective users and broaden the reach of Esri marketing
  • Learn, monitor and participate in industry events and meetings to anticipate market trends and build capacity and readiness for marketing opportunities
  • Support business development and industry management teams with marketing tools and help grow market share
  • Leverage the use of social media strategically to ‘listen’ to market sentiments and influence influencers
  • Drive enthusiasm and advocacy for marketing campaigns throughout the company as an important function for growing customer loyalty
  • Continually seek areas for refinement and improvement in marketing operations

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of experience in a B2B marketing role, preferably in the technology or industry specific sector
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; must have portfolio of published materials/samples of previous work (a writing test may be required)
  • Experience with Salesforce to research customer data and generate reports to inform decisions related to target marketing
  • Experience in creating emails and lists in Marketo or Pardot for targeted emails
  • Superior ability to execute and problem-solve in a multi-tasked, time-sensitive environment
  • Strong collaborative mindset to leverage a team and rally for common goals
  • Excellent listening, ability to interpret nuances and insights from customers and workshops into marketing plans
  • Talent for research and data analysis to support decision-making and clarify objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • University degree or college diploma in marketing, communications or related field

  • Social media leadership experience in a B2B technology company or agency
