The Position

Reporting to the Director, Brand and Communications, this position supports EDR’s marketing & communications and talent attraction activities. The position will be responsible for developing marketing content, information programs, activities, and initiatives on behalf of EDR. Responsibilities will also include ensuring marketing activities and relationships are in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic direction. Further, the position is responsible for activation of EDR’s presence at community and sponsored events. Finally, the position is responsible for ongoing development and delivery of EDR’s talent attraction “concierge service,” which provides wayfinding assistance for people interested in moving to Regina.

Key accountabilities

  • Work with the Communications Manager to develop and maintain a coordinated presence across all of EDR’s social media channels
  • Manage content creation, metrics, and analysis for EDR social channels
  • Maintain EDR’s website, including content creation, metrics, and analysis
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors to assist in website development, content, and channel development as needed
  • Lead activation of EDR’s presence at community and sponsored events, including but not limited to physical presence, display materials, collateral, digital and social media support.
  • Work with the Manager, Strategic Projects and Partnerships to support talent attraction work
  • Act as an ambassador for the city, ensuring a positive customer experience for talent attraction inquiries, including:

oRespond to inquiries received via phone, email or the website

oIdentify audience needs and recommend marketing, communications and sales tools to aid in the decision-making process for people considering moving to Regina

oProactively research and develop these tools as required

oProvide follow-up communications to inquiries, including researching answers to specific questions, and other activities as required

oTrack and measure interactions and their outcomes, including but not limited to number of inquiries (first and subsequent), use of custom referral links, successful referrals to third parties, etc.

  • Support EDR’s work on Corporate Communications, Talent Attraction, Investment Attraction, Data & Analytics, and other key priorities as needed
  • Research, collaborate and manage EDR’s calendar of key theme, sector, partner, relationship and other events to support a proactive approach to representing the GRA

This is the experience you bring

  • Discipline in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent work experience
  • Digital marketing and social media experience is required
  • History of building respectful, professional relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Experience in customer-serving roles, specifically responding to complex and varied inquiries
  • Experience building audiences either online or offline
  • Proficiency in using social media authoring and scheduling software (e.g.: Meltwater) to monitor social media conversations
  • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization is an asset
  • HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography skills are an asset

Salary Range

$55,000 to 65,000 based on level of experience.
