Job summary

TrustFlight in Vancouver is seeking a content-focused writer to build brand awareness and drive pipeline for our aviation software market. You will translate complex product topics into clear, engaging content for web, blog, email, and social channels.

You’ll own drafting within the editorial calendar, collaborate with product, sales and design, and optimize content with SEO and AI tools to support demand generation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written English with great grammar and tone.
  • A portfolio or writing samples.
  • Comfort with digital and AI tools, eager to learn marketing tech.
  • Familiarity with CMS (WordPress, HubSpot) or social scheduling tools.
  • Basic SEO and content analytics knowledge.
  • Interest in aviation, technology, or B2B software.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread articles, blog posts, social posts, and website content in brand voice.
  • Maintain content calendar and publishing cadence.
  • Support SEO and demand-generation with keyword research and gated content.
  • Develop long-form assets (white papers, guides) and repurpose for social/funnel content.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate drafting, ideation, and content optimization.
  • Track content attribution in CRM and report on pipeline and deals.

The Role

Support TrustFlight's marketing team by producing content that builds brand awareness, generates demand, and contributes directly to pipeline and revenue across the aviation software market. This role translates complex product and industry topics into clear, engaging content that attracts, educates, and converts aviation professionals, while building the foundations for a specialist marketing career.

  • Owns day-to-day drafting and scheduling of assigned content within an agreed editorial calendar.
  • Escalates campaign strategy, budget, and brand-positioning decisions to the Senior Director of Marketing.
  • Coordinates with product, sales, and design colleagues to gather input and source material for content.
  • Covers TrustFlight's global marketing content across web, blog, email, and social channels.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Write, edit, and proofread articles, blog posts, social media copy, and website content aligned to the brand voice.
  • Maintain and help schedule the content calendar, ensuring a consistent publishing cadence across channels.
  • Support SEO and demand-generation efforts through keyword research, on-page optimisation, and gated content that captures and nurtures leads.
  • Develop long-form thought-leadership assets such as white papers, guides, and articles, and repurpose them into social and funnel content.
  • Use AI writing and research tools to accelerate drafting, ideation, and content optimisation.
  • Track and help maintain content attribution in the CRM, reporting on how content contributes to pipeline, MQLs, and marketing-touched won deals.

Location

This role will be based out of our office in Vancouver. This is an on-site role with room for flexibility, because we know life doesn’t always fit a 9-to-5 mold.

The salary will be based on the value you will bring to the role with a range spanning from range $50,000 - $60,000 CAD per year with performance bonus.
