Job summary

The Coordinator, Marketing supports the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and member engagement initiatives that advance Sunrise Credit Union’s brand, products, and services. Reporting to the Senior Manager (or Director), Brand & Marketing, this role plays a key part in coordinating marketing projects, managing timelines, and ensuring consistency across internal and external communications.

The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Marketing team to deliver effective campaigns, maintain brand standards, and support community and marketing initiatives. This role combines creative, organizational, and administrative skills to bring marketing strategies to life.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Marketing Campaign Coordination
  • Contribute to the team brainstorming sessions to create compelling marketing campaigns that are on brand and align with Sunrise’s strategy.
  • Proofread and ensure all marketing materials are aligned with Sunrise’s brand guidelines and work with the team to maintain consistency in messaging and design.
  • Assist team with coordinating the execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives across digital, print, and in-branch channels.
  • Manage their own timelines, deliverables, and approvals to ensure campaigns launch on schedule.
  • Support product launches, member promotions, and awareness initiatives by coordinating logistics and materials.
  • Ensure alignment of all marketing activities with brand strategy and cooperative values.
Content & Material Development
  • Assist the Graphics & Web Design Coordinator to produce visually appealing materials that reflect Sunrise’s brand identity.
  • Coordinate distribution of marketing materials to branches and ensure local implementation.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of promotional materials, signage, and supplies.
Digital & Social Media Support
  • Contribute ideas for social media posts and campaigns that reflect community engagement and cooperative values.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Specialist by contributing to the creation and production of social media video content.
Event & Sponsorship Support
  • Assist in coordinating events, sponsorships, and community programs that align with marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Community Engagement Coordinator on promotional opportunities and event materials.
  • Ensure brand visibility and member engagement at community and sponsorship events.
Administrative & Reporting Support
  • Maintain marketing calendars, campaign trackers, and budget spreadsheets.
  • Track and report on campaign outcomes, engagement metrics, and expenditures.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation related to marketing projects.
  • Prepare and submit marketing expenses.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work collaboratively with all marketing team members to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
  • Support new ideas and continuous improvement in marketing processes and tools.
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, and technologies relevant to financial services.
Education & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing coordination, communications, or campaign support.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital channels, and content creation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in a credit union, cooperative, or financial institution environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, or social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for basic design tasks.
  • Experience with event coordination or community marketing.
