The role involves creating engaging content for social media, managing email campaigns, and handling website updates on Shopify. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of experience in marketing or content creation, strong copywriting skills, and proficiency in tools like CapCut and Canva. Lake Life Day Spa is looking for an experienced Content & Marketing Assistant to take ownership of the execution side of our marketing across social media, email, website, and e-commerce.

Education Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Marketing / Content Creation

Responsibilities & Compensation:

Responsibilities:

Weekly Content Execution

• Create and publish:
• 1 high-quality Reel per week (filming + editing using CapCut or similar)
• 2 feed posts per week (1 carousel + 1 static via Canva)
• 4 story sets per week (Monday–Thursday)

Content Creation

• Capture video and photo content in-spa using iPhone
• Plan and execute content based on direction and shot lists
• Stay current on what is working in social media (hooks, structure, messaging, not trends for the sake of trends)

Email & SMS Marketing

• Create and schedule 2 email campaigns per month (FloDesk or similar such as Mailchimp)
• Manage opt-ins, lead magnets, and basic segmentation

Website & E-Commerce

• Upload and manage products on Shopify (images, descriptions, collections, organization)
• Perform light website updates (imagery, layout, content updates)
• Ensure proper image sizing, formatting, and optimization

Design & Brand Execution

• Create on-brand graphics and marketing materials (Canva / Photoshop)
• Design in-house print materials (posters, signage, promotions)
• Maintain consistency across all visual touch-points

What You Bring:

• Social media content creation and management
• Shopify (product uploads, collections, organization)
• CapCut or similar video editing tools

Strong understanding of:

• What content performs (hooks, structure, messaging)
• Measuring performance (engagement, DMs, conversions, not just likes)

Experience with:

• Basic marketing KPIs
• Lead magnets, opt-ins, and segmentation

Writing & Communication:

• Strong copywriting skills; ability to write clearly, concisely, and on-brand
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) used to refine and enhance writing, not replace it

Technical Understanding:

• Basic SEO awareness
• File sizing, aspect ratios, and image optimization
