Qualifications

  • A university degree or college diploma in business, marketing or related field.
  • Aptitude for accurate, highly detailed and analytical skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and social media campaigns.
  • Ability to develop marketing assets using Canva and other applications.
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Superior customer service skills, and professional attitude.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Reliable, independent, and able to work flexible hours with minimal supervision or direction.

Responsibilities

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) through the Workforce Development Program.
  • To be eligible, applicants:
  • Must not be currently employed in another position funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation(NOHFC).
  • Must be available to work a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week for the duration of the one-year contract.

About The Role

SSMIC is seeking a motivated Marketing & Communications Research Intern to join our team. This internship presents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The Intern will work closely with all teams to assist with research, rebranding, and marketing and communication programs.
