Position Overview
Fasken’s Marketing and Business Development team has an immediate opening for an exceptional professional to work out of our Vancouver office. This position provides direct support to Fasken’s lawyers and will involve strategic account management (SAM), responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), and marketing and business development (MBD) assistance.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Identify new business and marketing opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Plan and support the execution of events, sponsorships, and seminars to foster client engagement and firm visibility (some travel and outside-of-hours work may be required)
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to conceptualize, produce, and collate promotional materials
  • Coordinate and draft submissions for legal directories and award nominations
  • Update firm brochures, fact sheets, and bios to support marketing initiatives
Request for Proposals Support
  • Assist with preparing high-quality RFP responses and presentations, including electronic and hard copies
  • Coordinate with Industry and Practice Groups (IPGs) to gather relevant information, craft narratives, and ensure timely submissions
  • Track and analyze RFP outcomes to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Strategic Account Management (SAM) Support
  • Work with business development teams, stakeholders, and client managers to develop and implement strategic account plans
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and targets, including developing prospect lists
  • Prepare and deliver marketing research reports using firm-wide tools and resources
  • Monitor and record SAM performance and progress
Knowledge Management
  • Build knowledge of industry and practice group expertise
  • Develop understanding of Fasken’s legal services
  • Gain familiarity with BC’s top client base
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing and business development within professional services, preferably legal or similar fields
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or a related diploma; or completion of a two-year Marketing diploma program
  • Previous event experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools like Interaction is a plus
  • Bilingualism (e.g., French, Mandarin, Cantonese) is an asset
Supervision

This role reports to the Senior Director and Senior Manager of Business Development and Marketing.

Additional Information
