Job summary

Sqéwqel Development Corporation is seeking a Communications & Administrative Coordinator to support marketing campaigns, social media, content creation, events, and front-desk duties at our Sqéwqel offices in Agassiz, BC.

You will report to the Communications & Marketing Manager and help manage digital platforms, promotional materials, and general office administration in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. In-office role with regular Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using digital and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable learning CMS, email marketing platforms and other digital tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design software is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support communications, marketing, social media, and engagement initiatives across SqDC and its businesses.
  • Create and schedule social media content, assist with content writing, and help maintain websites and digital platforms.
  • Design graphics, promotional materials, and basic photo and video content for marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, and on-site support.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, digital assets, and communications records.
  • Track social media and digital marketing performance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general inquiries.
  • Coordinate mail, emails, office supplies, meeting room bookings, and general office administration.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, document preparation, and office coordination.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

About the Role

As the Communications & Administrative Coordinator, you will play a dynamic role supporting both the communications and day-to-day operations of Sqéwqel Development Corporation. Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, you will contribute to marketing campaigns, social media, content creation, events, and community engagement initiatives while also serving as the first point of contact at our corporate office.
