Eataly Eaton Centre in Toronto is seeking a Market Lead (Full-Time) to act as a liaison between Market team members and the Market Manager, ensuring merchandise is stocked and displayed attractively across Eataly’s retail department. The Market Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Reports to the Market Manager and leads Market Associates while coordinating with Warehouse for stock,

Qualifications

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and squat for up to 8 hours.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate and face products per standards.
• Collaborate with Warehouse to maintain stock levels.
• Receive deliveries and verify accuracy.
• Supervise, train and motivate Market Associates.
• Maintain department signage, pricing and labelling.
• Adhere to FIFO and remove expired merchandise.
• Communicate needs to Market Manager promptly.
• Assist with product demos with Events & Education.
• Ensure safe, clean work conditions and regulatory compliance.

Market Lead (Full-Time) - Eataly Eaton Centre

The Market Lead serves as a liaison between Market team members and the Market Manager to ensure that merchandise is properly stocked and displayed attractively across Eataly’s retail department. The Market Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and improve guest satisfaction. Reports to the Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandizing standards
• Collaborates with the Warehouse team to maintain proper stock levels, organizing back stock and warehouse storage effectively and efficiently
• Follows order and inventory procedures and receives deliveries, verifying order and invoice accuracy
• Assists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Market Associates • Maintains accurate department signage, pricing and labelling
• Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Inspects shelves and immediately removes expired or damaged merchandise
• Communicates grocery needs, adjustments and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Assesses departmental food waste with department heads and diverts waste to donations
• Partners with Events & Education to coordinate product demos
• Maintains safe and cleanly work conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary
• Handles payments and ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements
• Verifies accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks, and charge payments at end of shift
• Obtains and reviews information regarding price changes • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning supplies

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $21.00 hourly
