Set sail for your future with CSL as a Marine Electrotechnician on our Great Lakes Fleet

How will you contribute to our success as a Marine Electrotechnician?

  • The Electrotechnician must ensure that all sources of emergency power and systems are fully operational at all times. This includes establishing and recording a regular testing schedule for the emergency power supply and automatic start systems for the emergency generator.
  • The Electrotechnician is responsible for timely repairs or replacements of bulbs to ensure adequate lighting in all working areas, including decks, cargo holds, tunnels, and machinery spaces.
  • The Electrotechnician shall coordinate with the Chief Engineer in operating self-unloading machinery, monitoring control and alarm functions, maintaining load rates, and operating discharge systems as directed.

Knowledge of English is necessary for this role due to daily interactions with colleagues, clients, and partners mainly outside Quebec, and to understand regulatory requirements and technical instructions.
