Qualifications

  • Solid marine electrical experience and relevant certifications.
  • Ability to document complex DC/AC systems on a vessel.
  • Familiarity with ABYC/TC small-vessel standards is preferred.
  • Able to trace undocumented wiring and create clear schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Survey and document the complete onboard electrical system (DC and AC).
  • Identify circuits, conductors, protections, and grounding; verify wire sizes and ratings.
  • Produce professional schematics (single-line and detailed wiring) as editable files and PDFs.
  • Document marine electronics network and power feeds; record inverter/charger configuration.
  • Create equipment register; prioritize deficiencies with corrective actions; label wiring and panels.
