Job summary

Westgate-Technology-Corp. in Port Moody is seeking a part-time marine electrician to fully document the vessel's electrical system and then perform wiring updates as equipment is installed.

You will produce professional single-line and detailed wiring diagrams and verify wire gauges, protection devices and grounds. The role is independent, on a moored boat in Reed Point Marina with on-site work and off-site drafting.

Qualifications

• Certified marine electrician with BC Red Seal or ABYC credentials.
• Experience with 12 V DC and 120 V AC systems on vessels.
• Ability to draft clear, accurate electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Own hand tools and marine-grade crimping/heat-shrink tooling.

Responsibilities

• Survey and document the complete onboard electrical system (DC/AC).
• Create editable source files and PDFs of schematics.
• Identify circuits, conductors, protection devices, gauges and wiring routes.
• Carry out maintenance and small wiring upgrades as needed.
• Label wiring and panels to match the schematic.
