ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Manufacturing Plant Cost Accountant to join our team in Calgary. In this essential role, you will uphold the financial integrity of our operations through precise cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. By collaborating closely with production, procurement, and finance teams, you’ll drive cost efficiencies and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

DUTIES:

1. Maintain and analyze cost accounting systems.
2. Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements from Finance Team.
3. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
4. Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and physical inventory counts.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

1. University graduate or equivalent in a related field of study.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
5. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
