Job summary

PEI Bag Co is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team in Central Bedeque, PEI. You will maintain and troubleshoot state-of-the-art printing and converting machinery as part of a full-time role, with two production shifts Mon-Fri: 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate with a shift premium for evening shifts, a safe indoor workplace, clothing allowance, and opportunities for growth as our plant expands.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education required in maintenance fields: electromechanical, industrial electrical, industrial automation, Millwright.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Integrity and work ethic.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• High energy, initiative, and sense of urgency to get the job done.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of industrial automation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and repair system problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines.
• Project work when required to upgrade or install new equipment.
• Develop and maintain maintenance documentation.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
