Job summary

Topgum Canada Ltd in Charlottetown, PEI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing setting.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and a hands-on approach, with responsibilities spanning repair, preventative maintenance, and documentation in the CMMS. A background in food manufacturing and GMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance in manufacturing.
• GMP/food manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Willingness to work set shift including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Must read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Log all maintenance details into a CMMS (Limble).
• Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and sketches.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Fabricate parts from blueprints and modify equipment.
• Repair belts, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and weld/cut.
• Maintain HVAC, water softeners, chillers, and other utilities.
• Prioritize safety and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform other maintenance duties as required.
