Job summary

PERMA-PIPE in Camrose, AB is seeking a Safety Advisor to support frontline HSE at the Camrose manufacturing facility. You will work with the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with Alberta OH&S legislation and coach production, maintenance, yard and office teams.

This role emphasizes hazard prevention, monitoring workplace conditions, and advancing Perma-Pipe’s zero-injury objectives. Post-secondary OHS education and 2–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing are desired.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Safety designation or progression toward CRST, CHSC, or NCSO considered an asset.
• 2–5 years of experience in a safety role within manufacturing or energy-sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong safety leadership and floor presence across production, yard, and materials-handling areas.
• Conduct hazard assessments, JSAs, and task evaluations for shop, maintenance, and yard operations.
• Deliver safety orientations and facilitate toolbox talks and shift huddles.
• Respond to injuries, property damage, and near-miss events; assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections of production areas, equipment, and general site conditions; track corrective actions.
• Engage with supervisors and maintenance to promote hazard reporting and safe work practices.
