  • Please note : This position is based full-time at our Brossard offices and requires on-site presence 5 days a week .

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Electronic Manufacturing Engineer to deploy and support our production equipment and test benches. Reporting to the Production Technology Director, the person will be responsible for the deployment of product releases and will participate in the development and validation of test systems aimed at ensuring the proper functioning of electronic PCBA and finished products. This person is a key player between the operations and R&D teams and will be responsible for working on the introduction of new products, production support and the improvement of operational performance and product quality.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Manage engineering changes to current products in manufacturing while minimizing impacts on current production (ECN & BOM).
  • Provide daily technical support to equipment maintenance and production teams to ensure manufacturing capacity.
  • Analyze incidents and breakdowns, resolve technical problems (commissioning, test benches, databases, etc.) with the aim of improving quality and optimizing production while increasing the level of product quality.
  • Develop and monitor performance indicator reports;
  • Collaborate in design review activities and launch of new products and software to ensure their manufacturability, testability and reliability.
  • Participate in the programming of automated electronic PCBA testing in order to optimize coverage and duration.
  • Contribute to the drafting and updating of documentation associated with test benches, production processes, instruction sheets, equipment maintenance plans;
  • Support continuous improvement activities (Kaizen) regarding quality control, productivity gains and cost reduction.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Profile Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automated production engineering or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in microelectronics, debugging and programming
  • Experience with a test and measurement automation system and software suites such as NI TestStand or LabView.
  • Knowledge of electronic PCBA manufacturing methods;
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces used in electronic products;
  • Experience working in software and hardware quality control
  • Experience with ERP and / or MES systems
  • Knowledge of CE, UL, CSA, etc. standards.
