Job summary

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Dowling, Ontario. You will support Production and Hardware Design, drive manufacturability improvements, and work on PPAP documentation and DFMs with cross‑functional teams.

You will collaborate to optimize assembly processes, ensure quality and safety, and participate in new product builds and pilots. Strong CAD skills and detail orientation are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in production/manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or equivalent.
• Safety-conscious with commitment to safe work practices.
• Experience with product testing and assembly.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to follow written instructions and engineering docs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks).
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and assist in the creation of assembly manuals and drawings.
• Provide feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement end-to-end manufacturing solutions with key deliverables such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation.
• Conduct DFM analyses with supply chain and Product Development engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve ease of assembly, quality and reliability.
• Participate in new product builds and testing to support manufacturability improvements.
• Conduct prototype and pilot builds to validate new processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Follow procedures and engineering drawings to meet specs and tolerances.
• Ensure compliance with Class 3 IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 for cable/wire harness assemblies.
• Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement across processes.
