At our Stratford Facility, we fabricate and assemble components for heavy trucks, defense, and off-road equipment, featuring departments for fitting, welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, and assembly, manufacturing everything from small components to large structures and heavy plates.

Position Summary:

Manufacturing Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager, this role involves leading process development, executing APQP and ECR/ECN processes, identifying and implementing process improvements, and supporting troubleshooting and legacy process enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development and problem-solving projects for new launches and current production, developing robust, repeatable processes to meet requirements.
  • Identify automation opportunities through capital procurement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support kaizen events to optimize manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in quoting new business opportunities.
  • Develop and review standard procedures for manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Manage tasks and timelines to meet customer and company expectations.
  • Make informed decisions for assigned tasks and activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of related manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, welding, and painting processes.
  • Preference for candidates with CNC machining and welding experience.
  • Understanding of GD&T, fixture design, and work holding/fixture procurement.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD/DraftSight.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • CNC programming and implementation experience.
  • Experience with robotic welding and material handling automation.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or in teams.
  • Adherence to health and safety policies, including PPE use, hazard reporting, and safe work practices.
