The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting the production of aseptic process equipment that meets stringent industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain regulatory compliance.

This position reports to the Manager , Manufacturing Engineering, and is part of the Operations located in Burnaby, BC, and will be an on-site role .

What you will do :

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Drive process improvements, focusing on reducing waste, improving product quality, and increasing productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Represent manufacturing function throughout all stages of NPI projects, leading reviews and completing deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flows.

Who you are :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related degree, with relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in interpreting and creating electrical and mechanical documentation, including schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and CAD drawings
  • Hands-on experience managing or contributing to cross-functional engineering projects using structured project plans
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving capabilities applied to manufacturing processes
  • Skilled in using engineering tools and software for diagnostics, design, and process optimization

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements :

  • Ability to travel up to 1 week per quarter to other manufacturing sites or suppliers.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

  • Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in Medical, Aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Digital Work Instruction Software (such as VisualFactory).

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision retirement benefit to eligible employees.
