East River Animal Hospital in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join as Managing / Medical Director. You’ll lead clinical excellence while collaborating with a compassionate team, with no on-call duties and permanent, full-time employment.

We welcome a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine licensed to practice in Canada, with a strong focus on client communication, gold-standard care, and building lasting relationships with pets and their families.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university.
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Canada.
• Commitment to gold-standard care and building relationships with clients and pets.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to high standards.
• Educate clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Stay current with the latest developments in veterinary medicine.
• Represent the hospital professionally within the community and veterinary field.
