Zymewire is searching for an ambitious Managing Director to lead and grow the brand.

What The Role Looks Like

As the Managing Director of Zymewire, you will be instrumental in optimizing and expanding our established SaaS revenue within the drug discovery and development landscape, from small CROs to large CDMOs. You will strategically enhance our market leadership and drive growth within this market segment.

As Managing Director, you will oversee daily operations and strategic direction, with a focus on customer experience and autonomy for each brand. Since we are bootstrapped, you won’t spend time pitching quarterly forecasts to investors.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Ownership and accountability for Zymewire’s P&L
  • Building and expanding Zymewire’s industry presence
  • Representing the company at industry events and in publications
  • Leading and coaching teams, including customer-facing and data teams
  • Collaborating with product and technical teams on feature development
  • Developing strategic plans to meet revenue and market share goals
  • Monitoring KPIs to track progress and areas for improvement
  • Fostering a results-oriented culture
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and managing escalations
  • Sharing best practices with other Lumerate brands

Must Haves

  • Experience with Zymewire or industry participation in drug development
  • Willingness to relocate to Toronto, ON (hybrid model)
  • Sales leadership experience in biotech, pharma, or vendor roles
  • 7-10+ years in commercial leadership
  • Management of people managers for at least 2 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; advanced degrees are a plus

Preferred Experience

  • Quick acquisition of new knowledge
  • Successful marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of SaaS and biotech/pharma industries

Start Date: September 2, 2025

Salary: $185,000 - $220,000 CAD + OTE of $250,000 - $350,000 CAD

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON

Employment: Full-time, permanent
