Zymewire is searching for an ambitious Managing Director to lead and grow the brand.

What The Role Looks Like

As the Managing Director of Zymewire, you will be instrumental in optimizing and expanding our SaaS revenue within the drug discovery and development landscape, from small CROs to large CDMOs. You will lead Zymewire, enhancing our market leadership and driving growth.

You will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic direction of Zymewire, with high autonomy to prioritize customer experience. As a bootstrapped company, you will focus on growth rather than investor pitches.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Ownership of Zymewire’s P&L
  • Building and expanding Zymewire's industry presence
  • Representing the company at industry events and publications
  • Leading and coaching teams, including customer-facing and data teams
  • Collaborating with product and technical teams for feature development
  • Developing strategies to meet revenue and market share goals
  • Monitoring KPIs and driving improvements
  • Fostering a results-oriented culture
  • Building stakeholder relationships and managing escalations
  • Sharing best practices with other brand leaders

Must Haves
  • Experience with Zymewire or in the drug development industry
  • Willingness to relocate to Toronto, Ontario (hybrid work: 3 days in-office, 2 remote)
  • Leadership experience in sales at a CDMO, CRO, or pharma services company, or as a vendor
  • 7-10+ years in commercial leadership roles, managing people managers for at least 2 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related; MBA or PhD is a plus

Salary: $185,000 - $220,000 CAD + OTE $250,000 - $350,000 CAD

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON

Employment: Full-time, permanent
