JOB SUMMARY As Managing Director/General Manager, you will oversee the company’s Canadian operations from its headquarters in Oshawa, ON. Reporting to the Owner, you will lead daily facility operations, supervise cross-functional department heads, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive performance across service, logistics, inventory, and customer-facing functions. This is a high-impact opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, technically driven environment and has a passion for building highly engaged, results-oriented teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Culture

  • Own the operational strategy for Canada - across service delivery, distribution, and customer experience.
  • Inspire and coach a diverse team spanning logistics, service crews, and order management.
  • Partner with Finance to drive reporting, budgeting, and smart business planning.
  • Build a culture of high performance, collaboration, and respect.
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Ensure every job in the field is delivered on time, on budget, and with best-in-class safety.
  • Manage warehouse operations and inventory across multiple Canadian hubs.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement systems that boost efficiency and service levels.
  • Leverage KPIs and data to guide performance and process improvements.
Strategic and Financial Oversight
  • Monitor facility and regional performance- then act fast to improve margins and reduce costs.
  • Drive accountability across teams with clear goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Share key insights with the executive team and play a major role in national decision-making.
Client and Industry Engagement
  • Be a trusted point of contact for top-tier clients in sectors like mining, cement, and construction.
  • Support national business development efforts and strategic growth plans.
  • Represent the company at industry events, building connections and visibility.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Proactively assess risks and take swift action when issues arise.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an asset).
  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in operations, service-based industries, or industrial distribution.
  • Experience with industrial materials, equipment, or field service environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including experience managing P&Ls and performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Calm under pressure, highly organized, and execution focused.
  • Willingness to travel to support regional operations as needed.
