Job description

Manager, Workplace Wellness

NSLC

You’re passionate about creating healthy, supportive workplaces—and ready to take the next step in making a meaningful impact. NSLC is more than a retailer—it’s a purpose-driven organization that puts people first. We believe that when employees feel supported and valued, they bring their best selves to work, benefiting both our teams and the communities we serve. As Manager, Workplace Wellness, you will shape a culture where people feel empowered to thrive, ensuring wellness is woven into every aspect of the employee experience.

Reporting to the Director of Responsibility, Sustainability and Workforce Health, you will lead the design and implementation of NSLC’s comprehensive wellness strategy. Your work will touch every corner of the organization, from ongoing team member support through case management, to mental health and work-life balance initiatives, and programs that promote safety and well-being. Through collaboration with leaders and team members alike, you will integrate wellness into policies, culture, and daily operations, ensuring that every team member has access to the resources they need to thrive. You will also manage key wellness partnerships and measure program effectiveness, continuously evolving our approach based on employee needs and feedback. Equity, diversity, and inclusion will be at the core of your work, making wellness truly accessible to all.

You are a people-focused leader with deep expertise in workplace wellness. With a background in wellness programming, occupational health, or human resources, you understand how to create programs that make a meaningful difference in employees’ lives. You are a strategic thinker with a compassionate approach, and you thrive in environments that value collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. With post-secondary education in human resources, health and wellness, psychology, or a related field, and at least five years of experience leading health and safety initiatives, you have a strong understanding of best practices in mental health, employee engagement, and program development. Your communication and relationship-building skills allow you to connect with employees at all levels, ensuring that wellness is an integrated, employee-driven experience.
