You’ll get to work with people who will encourage you to reach new heights. We like to keep things fun, ask questions and learn together.

We are a big (and growing!) family. Overall we serve more than 670,000 people across Canada through Equitable Bank, Canada's Challenger Bank, and have been around for more than 50 years. Equitable Bank's wholly-owned subsidiary, Concentra Bank, supports credit unions across Canada that serve more than six million members. Together we have over $125 billion in assets under management and administration, with a mandate to drive change in Canadian banking to enrich people's lives. Our customers have named our EQ Bank digital platform (eqbank.ca) one of the top banks in Canada on the Forbes World's Best Banks list since 2021.

The Work

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Retail Lending Transformation, Growth Businesses, and working alongside business unit stakeholders, Marketing, and Tech, the Senior Manager supports the strategy and roadmap for EquitableBank.ca, managing a dedicated pod for execution.

The website is critical for educating mortgage brokers, engaging consumers, and generating leads, especially for our direct-to-consumer lending (reverse mortgages). This role is key in optimizing impact, driving performance, and supporting growth ambitions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the product roadmap for EquitableBank.ca, leveraging user insights, brand, and product knowledge to enhance on-site experience and increase conversions.
  • Focus on our direct-to-consumer lending (reverse mortgage), supporting tools and testing hypotheses to improve lead capture and conversion.
  • Partner with business units, marketing, and analytics to define success metrics and report on performance against OKRs.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including user research, sprint planning, execution, retrospectives, and releases.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for effective communication with development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an optimal user experience and maximize conversion.
  • Manage website conversion strategies, including testing, data analysis, and hypothesis development for feature and content improvements.
  • Support website initiatives and tests, manage backlog prioritization, grooming, and requirements documentation.
  • Implement SEO strategies to improve search rankings, traffic, and conversions, including content gap analysis and keyword optimization.
  • Coordinate with marketing and analytics to monitor performance and share insights for ongoing improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and work with legal, compliance, and fraud teams to ensure security and compliance.
  • Support additional activities under the Senior Product Manager’s guidance.

About You

  • 4-7 years of experience developing successful digital strategies and products.
  • 2+ years managing a dedicated pod, including interfacing with technical and creative resources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Post-secondary degree in relevant fields; MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with consumer technology, UX principles, and digital interactions.
  • Proven leadership in strategy and project execution.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Curious, experimental mindset to foster innovation.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
