Western Canada’s largest mobile tire storage company is seeking a responsible, hardworking individual to join as the Warehouse Manager at its Winnipeg branch. Tire Chalet, established in spring 2015, is a family-run business and has become the largest seasonal tire storage provider in Western Canada. The company plans to expand into Ontario and Quebec in the coming years, relying on strong leadership at each location.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of tires and supplies.
2. Monitor and execute software system operations for deliveries and pickups with 100% on-time accuracy.
3. Coordinate logistics to ensure timely shipping of tire orders.
4. Manage staff including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, and discipline.
5. Train staff on job duties, safety procedures, and maintain employee logs.
6. Optimize operational efficiency and employee utilization.
7. Ensure safety compliance with Manitoba and Canadian Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
8. Communicate delays or variances in freight to relevant parties.
9. Maintain inventory accuracy through audits and discrepancy investigations.
10. Plan warehouse layout and space to prevent damage and optimize storage.
11. Promote a safety-focused culture among employees.
12. Assess and purchase necessary equipment like tire carts and dollies.
13. Lift tires weighing 50-75 lbs safely.
14. Investigate shipment discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
15. Set and monitor performance goals.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years management/supervisory experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field (preferred).
