As a Brand Manager supporting the Marketing of Alcon's Vision Care products in Canada, you will be trusted with planning, developing, and implementing clearly defined marketing strategies to optimize the brand potential, maintain brand equity and generate short and long term return on investment for the assigned product portfolio. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Develop executable marketing plans that drive sales, share and profit improvements
  • Establish marketing strategies including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, distribution channel management, product development, tactical plan development and execution
  • Ensure channel product positioning and competitive selling strategies
  • Working with the National Accounts team, strengthen consumer communications through effective creation and implementation of customer specific marketing campaigns including retailers, optometric buying group customers, consumers and eye care professionals
  • Lead new product launch activities or brand extensions
  • Work closely with agency partners to develop, evaluate, implement and track advertising/promotions
  • Synthesize and share best practices e.g., lessons from other markets on go to market approaches, application of novel launch innovation
  • Conduct analysis of specific business issues and evaluate competitive activity, product performance and marketing communications and proactively share findings
  • Collaborate with internal and external collaborators to achieve objectives; Collaborators include National Accounts Team, Field Sales, Global Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Senior Leadership, external vendors or agencies and key industry opinion leaders

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • University Degree in related field required; MBA preferred
  • 2 years experience with Brand Management/Marketing Communication OR Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brand management
  • 2 years experience in healthcare field sales experience is an asset
  • Fluent spoken and written English (mandatory); French an asset
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Experience with brand management of over the counter (OTC) consumer packaged goods (CPG) strongly preferred; experience marketing to Healthcare professionals and eyecare professionals a plus
  • Travel requirement: ability to travel up to 15-20% of time
