Brand Manager, Vision Care - Canada (18 month contract)

As a Brand Manager supporting the Marketing of Alcon's Vision Care products in Canada, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies to optimize the brand potential, maintain brand equity, and generate ROI for the product portfolio. Your typical day will include:

  • Developing executable marketing plans to drive sales, share, and profit improvements
  • Establishing marketing strategies including advertising/promotions, pricing, distribution, product development, and tactical plans
  • Ensuring channel product positioning and competitive strategies
  • Working with the National Accounts team to strengthen consumer communications through targeted marketing campaigns for retailers, optometric buying groups, consumers, and eye care professionals
  • Leading new product launches or brand extensions
  • Collaborating with agency partners on advertising and promotional activities
  • Synthesizing and sharing best practices from other markets
  • Analyzing business issues, competitive activity, product performance, and marketing communications
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams including sales, marketing, regulatory, operations, leadership, vendors, and opinion leaders

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in brand management, marketing communication, or CPG brand management
  • Healthcare field sales experience is an asset
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Experience with OTC CPG brands and marketing to healthcare/eye care professionals is preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20%
