We are seeking a Valuations Manager to join our team. This individual will support all areas of our practice: playing a critical role in both client-facing consulting work and audit support. This is a great opportunity for a valuations professional who wants to expand their impact and grow within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead valuation engagements for tax planning, corporate reorganizations, financial reporting, and shareholder transactions
- Act as the firm’s internal valuation expert on audit engagements, including the preparation and review of valuation-related audit documentation
- Prepare and review valuation models, reports, and memos in accordance with professional standards and firm best practices
- Collaborate with engagement managers and partners to deliver high-quality, timely client service
- Serve as a key client contact for valuation matters—understanding their business, industry, and strategic context
- Provide guidance and support to audit teams on complex valuation-related accounting issues, including fair value measurement and impairment assessments
- Participate in internal technical training and help mentor junior team members
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying client needs, preparing proposals, and strengthening relationships
Qualifications:
- CPA and CBV designations required
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in both valuation and audit
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards (CASs)
- Experience with the audit of publicly listed entities would be an asset
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to clients and team members
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deliverables within scope, timeline, and budget
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly
