BDO Canada is seeking a Manager to join the US Corporate Tax Services team in Vancouver to own the delivery of cross-border US tax engagements for partnerships, trusts and corporations.

The ideal candidate holds a Canadian or US CPA designation, with extensive public accounting experience and strong tax planning and compliance expertise. You will lead engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while upholding client service and integrity.

  • Years’ experience in public accounting with experience supporting US Tax clients.
  • Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate and trust tax planning, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities for cross-border operations, including preparing & review tax reorganizations and reviewing tax returns.
  • Lead US Tax engagements for partnership, trust, and corporate clients.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients.
  • Participate in business development initiatives including identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.

Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is looking for a Manager to join the US Corporate Tax Services team in Vancouver. This is for an existing vacancy and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Identify as well as develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities for cross-border operations. This includes preparing & review tax reorganizations and reviewing tax returns
  • Lead US Tax engagements for partnership, trust, and corporate clients
  • Build positive working relationships with clients
  • Participate in business development initiatives including identify new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
  • Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team

Your Experience And Education
  • You have completed your Canadian or US CPA designation
  • You have years’ experience in public accounting with experience supporting US Tax clients
  • You have extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate and trust tax planning, and compliance
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills

The expected salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000 annually
