Role Overview

As a Manager, Transactions, your responsibilities will include:

1. Undertaking qualitative and quantitative analyses to develop and validate solutions
2. Ensuring compliance/due diligence to standard operating procedures/policies and relevant legislation in all aspects of work
3. Meeting with clients to understand and analyze their businesses
4. Conducting industry and market research
5. Researching public companies to develop peer group valuations
6. Performing comparable transaction analysis
7. Building detailed valuation and financial models for private companies, including sensitivity analysis
8. Analyzing target company financial statements and other financial information, focusing on any identified accounting, financial statement preparation or general financial issues
9. Developing target lists of prospective purchasers or investors for sell side mandates and acquisition targets for buy side mandates
10. Writing information memorandums for divestiture and capital advisory mandates
11. Preparing presentations and proposals
12. Conducting financial analysis and reporting on key findings and insights to support clients through the transaction process
13. Understanding the transaction lifecycle and normal course M&A deal terms
14. Recognizing, analyzing, and commenting on critical transaction risks
15. Involvement in other group administrative duties

Qualifications

• A CPA or MBA designation
• 4+ years of direct M&A experience
• Undergraduate degree in business with a focus on finance or accounting
• Proven academic achievement
• Willingness to pursue additional designations (e.g., CBV, CFA)
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented with multitasking ability
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to work through peak periods
• Interest in business growth and value addition
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Access to a car and valid driver’s license
