RBC is seeking a professional to join the Global IT Risk organization in Governance for the Technology & Cyber Risk Management domains. The role focuses on establishing structured risk stewardship across RBC's technology functions and improving governance oversight.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define governance forums, support risk issue prioritization, and help implement controls. The position reports through the Technology & Operations platform with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent.
• Professional designations CRISC, CISSP, PMP preferred.
• 3–5 years IT Risk Management experience with risk & control knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to document IT risk governance outcomes.
• Experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with governance tools JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain stakeholders to develop governance forums, charters, and escalation protocols.

What is the opportunity?

As a part of the Global IT Risk organization in Global Security, IT Risk Domain Governance focuses on the strategic implementation of a structured risk stewardship model across RBC's technology functions. This department facilitates the uniformity of risk management practices across RBC's IT Risk Management framework, strengthening IT governance and oversight.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with domain stakeholders to support the development of governance forums, charters, and escalation protocols, contributing to clarity on roles and responsibilities
• Partner with senior business stakeholders on Technology & Cyber Risk Management domain governance, serving as a collaborative point of contact for governance-related inquiries
• Support the domain risk issue identification and prioritization process, helping maintain visibility into remediation volumes and emerging risks across business units
• Work with embedded risk management functions to support consistent implementation of controls across Technology & Cyber Risk Management domains
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of domain key performance metrics, supporting transparent reporting across regions, entities, and business lines
• Support process improvement recommendations by collaborating with teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations
• Work alongside internal and external service partners to support the establishment and monitoring of domain service expectations and performance agreements

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• University graduate or equivalent, Professional designations i.e. CRISC, CISSP, PMP
• Minimum of 3-5 years IT Risk Management experience with solid knowledge of risk and control management across IT domains
• Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, including experience in organizational change management
• Proficient at written and oral communication skills to effectively and timely communicate with stakeholders. Analytical and rationale thinking, supported by strong writing skills, are essential to document and communicate IT risk governance expected outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of collaboration tools - JIRA and Confluence
• Strong organizational awareness, business acumen, customer orientation and strong analytical skills
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex issues

Nice-to-have

• Strong problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research and quantitative skills
• Working experience in cybersecurity and/or IT risk management spaces
• Big 4 IT risk consulting and/or audit experience
