Workplace Type: Onsite
Newmont produces metals the world needs - safely, responsibly and with care for people, communities and the environment. With a 100+ year history, we continue to shape the future of mining through innovation and strong operational performance. By joining our inclusive, world-class team, you can help shape the future of mining and make a meaningful difference.
Red Chris is an open-pit copper-gold mine in the famous Golden Triangle of northern British Columbia, situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Red Chris is reached via charter flights from multiple locations in BC and Alberta, with teams working on a rotational schedule. Currently an active open-pit producer, Red Chris is poised for an exciting transformation – we are developing a high-value underground block cave that will extend the mine’s life for decades and unlock even more resources. The remote location fosters a close-knit “camp” community where safety and teamwork come first. Working at Red Chris offers an adventurous career at the frontier of mining innovation, with the opportunity to shape a major expansion while enjoying the natural beauty of northern Canada. Newmont is committed to working in partnership with the Tahltan Nation and local communities, ensuring the project delivers lasting environmental, social, and economic benefits while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
